The Amazing Grace Race - Children's Spring Musical

On Sunday, May 6, 2012, our VGBC Children’s Choirs will present The Amazing Grace Race, a musical drama. Through the message and songs of the musical, our choirs will learn about running the race of the Christian life by following Jesus’ steps. We will learn about great heroes of the faith who have finished the race before us and how to encourage those who are running the race alongside us. Make plans now to join us for this exciting evening of worship through song and drama.

In partnership with our amazing VBS Big Apple Adventure, the 2011/2012 theme for the LifeWay Children’s Music Series (CMS) curriculum is The Big Picture. At VBS, your child was challenged to connect faith and life. Children’s Choirs will help your child see their part in The Big Picture that God has planned for them.   Through hymn arrangements, popular worship songs and brand new anthems in CMS, your child will learn to Connect ~ experience beautiful ways our Creator helps us know and respond to Him; Serve ~ use the gifts and talents God has given them to serve each other; and Share ~ use creative ways to share God’s love and salvation with all people. Music, worship and excitement await – register your child today!

Welcome to Children's Choirs - A Guide for Parents
We offer choirs for the following age groups: Preschool, Kindergarten, Music Makers (1st - 3rd grade) and Young Musicians (4th & 5th grade). Each group meets on Sundays during the school year from 4:30 - 5:45 p.m.

During the course of the 2011-2012 choir year we will continue to develop and implement a strong music education aspect to the program. We want to fulfill our responsibility to raise up the next generation of church musicians. Our children periodically share special programs and sing in our worship services. Read More

Highlights from "Saddle Ridge Ranch" 
presented by the Children's Choirs on 5.2.11

The Children’s Choirs presented their final concert of the year on May 1. It was a fun evening as they closed out the Saddle Ridge Ranch theme that began last summer in VBS. It is our prayer that you have “saddled up and partnered up” with our Trail Boss. Happy Trails!

VGBC Children’s Choirs presented Makin’ Room – a musical drama centered around building houses for Casas por Cristo. It was a special evening of music, testimony and a powerful call to be the body of Christ.  Click here to enjoy more pictures.

Special Thanks
Thank you to all who contributed items to the Missions Rummage Sale that was held March 5.  You helped us raise $4,400, which covers nearly the full cost of a single home. In addition, giving at the Children’s Choir performance provided approximately $2,000. The funds will be used by the Mexico Mission team to build a single house, a double house, and to work on the Rose of Sharon church. Thank you to the church body for coming together to serve the Kingdom!
