College & Young Adult Ministry of Vista Grande Baptist Church
Who We Are
Vista Grande’s College & Young Adult Ministry is designed to reach people in their twenties and late teens with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to help them grow in their faith. The ministry is made up of wide range of young adults including college students, young professionals, and military personnel.
Weekly Programming
Thursday Night Studies
We get together each Thursday night at 7:00 pm for fellowship and study of God’s Word. Our Thursday night studies are typically done in 6-week blocks, and we almost always go out to eat at IHOP afterward. Check the “Upcoming Events” page to find out about our current study and its location.
Sunday School
The College & Young Adult Sunday School class is a great place to go deeper into the Christian faith. Our teachers teach through books of the Bible, lead engaging discussions, and apply the truths of Scripture to daily life. We encourage those in our ministry to attend the 9:00 am worship service, followed by Sunday School at 10:45 am. Those ages 18 - 21 meet in Room 176, and those over age 21 meet in Room 180.
Other Events and Activities
Service Projects
We do at least one service project for our community each month. Our goal is to share the good news of Jesus Christ as we meet physical needs. Our current monthly projects include serving the homeless at both the Springs Rescue Mission and at Acacia Park.
Social Activities
We also have special social activities at least once a month. Some past events include movie nights, game nights, Rockies games, etc. Upcoming activities are regularly posted on our events calendar on the church website.
Trips and Retreats
Each year we do at least one off-site retreat for spiritual renewal and community building. We go on other trips as well, such as the annual Mystery Road Trip.
