Media Loan-Out Procedures
Media loaning and tracking policy and rules include the following:

  • Only VGBC church members are eligible to borrow media items. Each church member will agree via signed enrollment card to comply with Media Center rules and policies prior to borrowing the first item. In particular, borrowers must concur with their personal responsibility to: 1) maintain media in good condition, 2) pay overdue fines as set and published by the Director, 3) pay for repairs to damaged items, and/or 4) pay the replacement value of lost or destroyed items.

  • Nonmembers may use items only within the Media Center during hours of operation.

  • Media may not be removed from the Media Center when the Media Center is not open for operation.

  • Media may be borrowed for three weeks, after which the borrower is responsible for returning the item or renewing the borrowing period. One renewal period is permitted, for a total of six weeks. Borrowing media for longer periods will be on a case-by-case basis arranged with the Media Center Director or staff.

  • Church members who borrow media for relay to nonmembers retain full responsibility for the return of each item, and for all fines and costs.

  • The Media Center staff will notify borrowers of over-due items. The staff will not, however, notify members of a pending due date. It is the responsibility of each borrower to be aware of all media due dates.

  • Borrowers will return all overdue items as promptly as possible, and will pay applicable fines or costs as listed above.
