I am the Ministry Evangelism Director for the Longs Peak Baptist Association in Northern Colorado.  My title basically tells what I’m about, evangelism (sharing Christ with others) through ministry (meeting needs).  In September 2008 I celebrated my tenth year in this ministry.  My main responsibility is to oversee our two ministry centers in the area. 

Spring, 2009 Update 

As questions persist about our nation’s economy and the financial security of the United States, many are overwhelmed with what the future may or may not hold in store for their family. Numerous people are out of work and countless others have had wages and hours cut, making it almost impossible to provide for their families. Praise God that the Longspeak Association sponsors ministry centers in northern Colorado to help individuals and families deal with these uncertain times.
 

• Despite the fact that requests for services has increased by nearly 30%, nobody has been turned away. 

• What the enemy intends for evil, God uses for good. Several new people have come into our facilities and heard the Gospel because of these tough times.

• God continues to meet our needs. Even though all signs indicate otherwise, those who support ministry evangelism projects continue to give and we have been able to meet all of our financial obligations.

Please continue to pray for our efforts to reach the poor, needy, and disenfranchised living in northern Colorado. These folks have spiritual needs, but unfortunately will not come to an organized church to seek answers for a variety of reasons. By meeting these individuals where they are at their point of need, we are able to build relationships that hopefully will lead to their reconciliation with our Father. 

• We need workers for the harvest. Whatever gift God has blessed you with, we can find a way to utilize it to honor the Lord.

• Last year we did ministry in four multi-housing complexes including Kid’s Clubs, coat giveaways, food distribution, and block parties. Currently we have ongoing ministries in two of these communities but there are thousands in this area with no Gospel witness.

• The financial situation in our country has impacted the amount and variety of foods we are able to distribute. We need donations of canned veggies, fruits, beans, and soup. We also use perishable foods such as eggs, milk, and cheese.
