Dear Church Family:
During the Creation to Christ (C2C) Workshop, we have the opportunity to learn a unique tool for sharing the Gospel with people from different cultures. The workshop is Friday, February 3 from 6 - 9 pm, and Saturday, February 4 from 9 am - 5 pm, and will be led by "Ken and Barbie". To register, please contact Jeff Carson.
There will be no afternoon or evening activities on Sunday, February 5.
Update: TNT (Tuesday Night Teahouse) will not meet this month in support of the Women's Ministry Conference on February 18.
The Singles Ministry will be serving at Springs Rescue Mission from 4:15 - 6:30 pm on Wednesday, February 8.
MOPS will be hosting a Valentine Play Date on Friday, February 10 from 9:30 - 11:00 am. The cost is $1 to cover craft and snacks. That night, the AWANA 24/7 Quiz Competition will be held from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
The Men's Ministry would like to invite the ladies of the church to join them for Valentine's Breakfast on Saturday, February 11. Coffee and fellowship begin at 7:00 am, with breakfast at 7:30 am. Greg Teel is the guest speaker. Please make reservations on the church website or by calling the church office. The Deacons will meet at 8:45 am.
Also on February 11, you can be part of the ministry to the homeless people of Acacia Park by meeting at the church at 3:30 pm to deliver sack meals downtown. The Crossing, our preteen ministry, is having a Valentine's Day party from 5:00 - 8:00 pm, and The Revolution, our singles ministry, is having their party from 5:00 - 9:30 pm.
We will receive the Lord's Supper during the morning worship services on Sunday, February 12. The Frisbie SS Class and the Young Married SS Class will be having fellowships at 12:30 pm.
If you have a heart for missions, come to one of the information meetings that afternoon. There will be a Uganda Meeting at 2:30 pm, a Cross World (Webb's) Meeting at 3:30 pm and a Brazil Meeting at 4:30 pm. The Properties and Stewardship Committees will meet at 3:00 pm, in rooms 155 and 153.
MSM (Men Supporting Missions) will meet at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 16. The Degler Sunday School Class will have a fellowship on Friday, February 17 from 4:30 - 8:00 pm.
We are pleased to host a Women's Conference, "Unforgettable", on Saturday, February 18 from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Guest Speaker Stephanie Henderson will share with us about God's relentless heart for His daughters, addressing our value as perceived through the eyes of God. The cost is $25 with a light breakfast and lunch provided. If you are interested in helping with this event, please contact Helen McAllister.
We also have two evening activities on the 18th. The Pence Sunday School Class will have their Valentine Party from 5:30 - 8:30 pm, and the Bells of Vista Grande will participate in the Southern Colorado Handbell Festival. This event will be at the City Auditorium, located at Kiowa and Weber. The handbell concert begins at 7:30 pm, and a free will offering will be received.
The Robison/Teel SS Class and the Single Adult SS Class will both have fellowships on February 19 at 12:30 pm.
Please save your donations and plan to shop at the Mexico Mission Trip Rummage Sale. Donations can be dropped off Thursday evening, February 23 and all day Friday, February 24. Jan Halstead will accept early donations if you are moving and
cleaning out before that date. The sale is Saturday, February 25 from 8 am - 2 pm. Custom Made, our preteen girls ministry,
will be meeting that morning from 9 am - noon.
Youth High Attendance Sunday is February 26 and the Costume Department is meeting at 3:00 pm.
