Our thanks to everyone who supported Operation Christmas Child by preparing a shoe box, bringing food or working during national collection week.  Thank you for sharing God's love and touching the lives of these children!

Each year, Vista Grande has the opportunity to share the joy and hope of Jesus Christ with a child in a troubled country through Operation Christmas Child. Each box contains small toys and gifts. VGBC collects shoeboxes through November, and also serves as the collection center for the Colorado Springs area. If you'd like more information on OCC, please visit their website

Opportunities for service continue in November & December at local and regional Processing Centers. For more information, please e-mail Betty Matkin.

January, 2010 Update
Thank you to everyone who participated in Angel Tree Christmas--whether you called caregivers, bought and wrapped gifts, sorted gifts, or delivered gifts! Because of you, the love of Christ was shared with 39 families in our area, and 85 children received gifts from a parent. One of our deliverers commented on how the children’s faces lit up when told that the gifts were from Dad or Mom. We were able to pray and share the gospel with many of these families, and four people chose to accept Jesus as their Savior!
