Women's Ministry Fall Conference, October 8 - 9 at VGBC

This Friday night and Saturday morning event will feature teaching by conference speaker Kathy Ferguson Litton. Kathy is the widow of the late Dr. Rick Ferguson, who was the pastor of Denver’s Riverside Baptist Church for 11 years before his death in 2002. Kathy served as Director of Women’s Ministry at The Church of Pinnacle Hills in Rogers, Arkansas until last summer when she married Dr. Ed Litton, Pastor of North Mobile Baptist Church in Mobile, AL. In addition to being a gifted Bible teacher and speaker, Kathy currently serves on the SBC’s Great Commission Resurgence Task Force.

The Women's Ministry is enlisting volunteers for the Fall Conference. If you are interested in serving on one of the committees (registration, hospitality, publicity, etc.), please contact Beverly Frisbie at frisbie98@msn.com.

Ladies of all ages enjoyed lunch, music, door prizes and a special message from author and guest speaker Allison Wilks. The Friendship Tea supported Northern Churches Care with donations of food and Christian literature, and the Mission Medical Clinic also received an offering. Based on Psalms 139:14, tween girls ages 8 to 12 will blossom into the custom made person God wants her to be through learning Biblical truth, Christian character, practical life skills, and mission service one Saturday morning each month during the school year.

Auto Service Day
The Men's Ministry sponsores an auto service day twice a year in the fall and spring. The service includes oil and filter change as well as checking fluid levels and windshield wipers. This free service is available to seniors, widows, single moms and spouses of deployed military. It is held at Advance Auto on Powers Blvd, opposite the Church.
