This Psalm was probably written on the occasion of David fleeing into the wilderness of Judah during the rebellion of Absalom (II Samuel 15:23).

National Day of Prayer

Join us May 5 as we pray for America! Come and go from 3 – 8 pm in the Youth Wing.  The mission of the National Day of Prayer Task Force is to mobilize prayer in America and to encourage personal repentance and righteousness in the culture.  For more info visit nationaldayofprayer.org.
 

Baby Dedication Update

We cordially invite parents who seek to dedicate themselves to raising their child in the Lord to join in a baby dedication. It has been postponed to be held later in the spring. (Keep watch for details.) Please notify the church office to participate.
 

VGBC Memories

Next year VGBC celebrates its 50th anniversary! To help prepare for our anniversary celebration we need your help. We will be collecting photos (of families, events, etc.), and historical information that we plan to place on display at the event. So start digging! 

 

Annual Collection Drive

Local area ministries need our help to supply basic necessities. During the month of April we are collecting toilet paper for the annual TP Drive. A collection box is available in the foyer.
 
Sunday Valet Service
The Valet Service Ministry is in need of drivers over the age of 21 who can serve one Sunday each month, before, between, and after both morning worship services. If you are interested, please call Paul Brandenstein.
 

Volunteers for Ladies Tea

We are looking for a few good men to serve at the Ladies Tea on April 30. To sign up, contact Carol Kurkowski. Please meet in the Fellowship Hall at 10:30 am dressed in a white shirt and black pants. (Black bow ties will be provided.) A pizza lunch will be provided after the tea is served. Thank you for serving!
