Farewell Reception Join us as we bid a fond farewell to Jon & Leah Gingery and their kids today from 2-4 pm in the youth wing. Let’s send them off with many well wishes as they move to their next assignment in California. They will certainly be missed!
 
Children’s Choir Kick-Off Event Kids (preschool—4th grade) and their families are invited for food, games, and fun on August 18, at 4:00 pm. Register your child now.  Cost: $10/child or $25/family (covers curriculum, t-shirt, and supplies)
Hope for Kids (H4K): 2nd – 6th grade H4K effectively disciples kids to personally embrace the Gospel. This free class is held on Sundays and begins August 18 at 2:45 pm. To register, call the church office by August 11.
 

Special Message Dear Church Family,  Lowell Socolofsky passed away August 3, while a patient at Pikes Peak Hospice at Penrose Hospital.  To view obituary and service information please go to www.cappadonafh.com/notices/Lowell-Socolofsky.  The family and I thank our Vista Grande church family for all the cards and prayers over the past few weeks during his illness.  Memorial gifts may be given to the VGBC missions ministry or to Pikes Peak Hospice.  – Pat Socolofsky   Thank You Dear Church Family,  Thank you very much for quickly responding to my furniture and furnishings request!  I received everything needed and am so grateful to all of those who so generously gave.  -Robbyn Booker   Thursday Night Bible Study Join us Thursday evenings at 6:45 as we resume the adult Bible study led by Don Bullock. GriefShare Support Group GriefShare begins today, from 4:00-5:30 pm in the youth wing. Come find hope and healing as you journey through grief. This small support group will meet for 13 sessions. For more info, contact Bill Gibbs at 303-435-3404.
 
Everyday Evangelism (EV2) Training Do you care about the spiritual welfare of others? Have you ever shared the Gospel with someone? Join us Sunday evenings beginning tonight (Aug 18-Oct 20), at 4:30. This training course will spend more time on each part of the Gospel presentation covered at the SYFW. Cost: $15
 
Depression Support Group Are you or someone you know struggling with depression? This confidential support group meets Wednesday evenings at 6:30. You are welcome to join us! Contact Diana Lew at nanadianalew@gmail.com for more info. Mission Control Tea Groups Our missionaries need your prayers!  Ladies Tea Groups start back up in September. They are held once a month and meet at a variety of times both day and evening. You may choose Tuesday at 9:00 am or 1:30 pm; Thursday at 11:30 am or 6:30 pm; and Friday at 9:00 am. Women’s Precept Bible Study Ladies, you are invited to join us for a Precept study on Genesis. This study meets every Wednesday, from 9-11:15 am beginning September 4. (There will be free childcare.) Call the church office to sign up or fill out a form at the info booth. Workbook cost: $24.75
 
Summer Missions Report We had several short-term missionaries on three continents this summer! Please join us Sunday, September 15, at 6:00 pm, as they give us a report on their adventures.
