DEACONS OF THE WEEK
The following deacons are available for you to contact with any ministry needs:

Dave Weber & Corey Dugan: (719-598-2139)

Calling All Small Groups! You can walk as a team at the 32nd Annual Walk for Life on Saturday, June 1, at Memorial Park. Decide on a team name and start asking people to sponsor you. Making a difference in the life of an unborn child really is that easy! Get a pledge sheet at the info booth or visit www.walkforlife.com.

VBS Training Meetings All Vacation Bible School helpers are encouraged to attend 1 of 2 training meetings. The meetings are Sunday, May 19, from 3-5 pm and Wednesday, June 5, from 6-8 pm. Both meetings will be in the youth wing. You can still volunteer to help; sign up at vgbc.org/vbs or visit the info booth today.

Preteen Camp Update! A few slots still remain for the Peak Preteen Camp at the Ponderosa in Larkspur, June 26-29. (For kids who will be completing 3rd – 6th grade.) This year’s theme is “The Journey” from Prov. 4:26-27. Register at www.vgbc.org/camp, while there is still space available. Cost: $200/child

Valet Service Volunteers Needed The Valet Ministry is in need of additional drivers, one Sunday a month, before, between, and after morning services. If you are looking for an easy area to serve in, this is it! This service allows those with certain needs to avoid any mishaps in the parking lot. If interested, contact Paul Brandenstein at 439-2449, or Trevor Boese at 452-9104.

Special Thank You Several weeks ago we concluded the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and thanked you for your generous donations. Apparently, some of you were not done giving! The youth and children’s departments increased the offering we are sending to the North America Mission Board to $34,317. Thank you, again, for your gracious generosity!

Annie Armstrong Participation The children’s Sunday school classes (kindergarten – 4th grade) raised $410.15 for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. Classes competed against each other in a spirited game of Penny Wars, but pooled together all their resources at the end. Nice job, kids!

Marriage Night Simulcast Event VGBC is a host site for the first-ever Marriage Night simulcast presented by RightNow Media. This event, for married and engaged couples, is May 17, 7-10 pm, with doors opening at 6:30. Come laugh and learn as you hear from marriage experts and discover how to honor God through your relationship. Speakers include: Francis & Lisa Chan, Les & Leslie Parrott, and comedian Michael Jr. Make plans to attend; it will be worth your time! Tickets are $15/person. To register, visit www.vgbc.org/marriage.
