Go the Extra Mile for a Bible
You can walk as a team at the 32nd Annual Walk for Life on Saturday, June 1, at Memorial Park. Decide on a team name and start asking people to sponsor you. Making a difference in the life of an unborn child really is that easy! Get a pledge sheet at the info booth or visit www.walkforlife.com.
VBS Training Meetings All Vacation Bible School helpers are encouraged to attend 1 of 2 training meetings. The meetings are Sunday, May 19, from 3-5 pm and Wednesday, June 5, from 6-8 pm. Both meetings will be in the youth wing. You can still volunteer to help; sign up at vgbc.org/vbs or visit the info booth today.
Gideon Report Next Sunday during our worship services, Larry & Yvonne Alan, who serve with the Gideons, will be our Missions Moment guests. There are 290,000 Gideon missionaries world-wide, representing every evangelical church, spreading the Good News through the distribution of God’s Word!
Summer Evening Concert Don’t miss a night of music for all ages! VGBC presents the Burchfield Brothers with Lori Jean Smith on Sunday, June 16, at 6:00 pm. The Burchfield Brothers are a Dove-nominated duo who combine music & storytelling. Lori Jean Smith is a world-class violinist; her motto is “artistry with passion.” Their combination of styles will ensure an excellent evening of worship.
Missionary Need Our missionaries, Mark & Lona Webb, from Killarney, Ireland, will be in Colorado Springs, July 17 – August 12. They would like to borrow a vehicle during this time. If you are able to help, please contact Mark at mark.webb@crossworld.org.
Valet Service Volunteers Needed The Valet Ministry is in need of additional drivers, one Sunday a month, before, between, and after morning services. If you are looking for an easy area to serve in, this is it! This service allows those with certain needs to avoid any mishaps in the parking lot. If interested, contact Paul Brandenstein at 439-2449, or Trevor Boese at 452-9104.
Church Contributions
To ensure that your giving is posted accurately, please be certain your full name is written legibly on each giving envelope. (Offering envelopes are available at the brochure rack.) Also, use separate checks when giving to accounts in addition to the general offering, such as Freedom on Powers, missions, etc.
