Children’s Ministry:  Date Night

Date Night is this Friday, September 22, 6-9 pm.  Kids 5th grade and under can plan on an evening of fun activities at the church while parents enjoy a date.  The cost is $3 per child.

Discovering VGBC

Are you a new member or considering membership at VGBC?  Please join us for a four-week class introducing you to our church. Discovering VGBC is led by some of our ministers and deacons, and begins today at 9:00 am in room 153.

Fall Festival Help Needed

It is time to prepare for the annual Fall Festival to be held Friday, October 27.  Help is needed in all areas, including running games, serving food, donating sealed bags of candy, making baked goodies for the cake walk, and set-up and tear down.  Sign up venues will be available soon.

Employment Opportunity

VGBC is seeking applicants for a part-time (20 hours per week) custodian.  Applications are available in the church office.

Colorado Missions Offering

Nicy Murphy is an annual event that encourages all of our churches across Colorado to support the ministry of the Gospel.  Funding includes scholarship support for seminary students, and partner ministries like Colorado Missions Team, Disaster Relief, and Ponderosa Baptist Camp.  Join in God’s mission to see our beautiful state transformed by the Gospel of Jesus.  Your giving can make a difference! Prayerfully consider how you can donate.

Craft Fair

Wrap up your Christmas shopping early!  Mark your calendar for the Craft Fair & Bake Sale (sponsored by MOPS), Saturday, October 7, from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.  With over 60 vendors (handmade items to direct sales), you’re sure to find many items on your Christmas shopping list.

A GriefShare group is offered during the Discipleship Training hour on Sundays at 4:30 pm in room 177. It can help deal with the challenges of having lost a loved one, so that you can begin the process of healing.  It may appear this group is for those who have recently lost a loved one, though it is more beneficial when veterans of this ministry participate.  It’s not for what you can receive, but for what you can give!

Mexico Mission Trip Meeting

Looking to serve God through a short-term mission trip?  We will partner with Casas por Cristo in March 2018 to build homes for  deserving families, in Juarez, Mexico, and hold a VBS.  If you are middle school age to senior adult, please join us for an informational meeting, Sunday, October 1, 2:00 p.m. in room 177.  To view previous trips, visit www.vgbc.org/mexico.
