Angel Tree
November 5-December 10
Angel Tree is a program that reconciles families by giving prisoners a chance to provide Christmas presents for their children. VGBC has been assigned 100 names this year. Volunteers are also needed for sorting gifts on December 15 and delivering the gifts on December 16.

Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a project of Samaritan’s Purse and is the largest Christmas project in the world. OCC brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes and the Good News of God’s love. People of all ages can be involved in this simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas: Jesus Christ. The OCC Collection Center Team coordinates volunteers from all around Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas to deliver thousands of filled shoeboxes to the Collection Center (within VGBC). Members are encouraged to bring both empty shoeboxes to be filled and filled shoeboxes.
