Annual Turkey Round-Up!
Collection day is November 17.  Join the challenge!  VGBC will be providing turkeys for the SPRINGS RESCUE MISSION.  This special outreach will serve Thanksgiving dinner to hundreds of people in need.  The most beneficial way to donate is financially.  (Please make checks payable to VGBC.)  Your dollars will be used to buy turkeys at the best price!  Donations may be turned in at the collection booth near the main entrance on November 17 starting at 8 am.  Visit the info booth today for more details.

Thanksgiving Baskets
The deacons will be distributing Thanksgiving baskets again this year.  If you or someone you know would benefit from a basket, please contact Karen or Gwen in the church office.  Please provide the name of the individual or family, a phone number, an address, and the number of family members.  Names will be collected through Nov. 19.

Introducing . . .

Simply Christmas: Restoring the Wonder.  This Christmas season we will have the opportunity to share a spiritual journey as a church family.  A devotional, written by our Minister of Music, Jay Hill, will encourage us to keep our focus on why December is significant; may our hearts respond with wonder and awe as we consider what God has done for us through His Son, Jesus. It will be available in print in late November.  You may also receive the devotions via email.  Subscribe at www.vgbc.org/devos. We hope you will participate in this special Christmas experience!
