Trunk or Treat is Back!

The fun takes place on Saturday, October 29, from 2-4 pm. We’re looking for volunteers to decorate the trunks of their vehicles and hand out lots of candy! Click to sign up. Our goal this year is 30 vehicles.

 

Quilt Ministry

If you enjoy sewing and own a sewing machine, we would love to have you join us! We meet the 2nd & 4th Thursday of each month from 9 am – noon in the Fellowship Hall. We make baby quilts, lap quilts, etc., that are then given to VGBC babies & senior adults as well as outreach opportunities. Contact Susie Fowler.
 

Annual Craft Fair

Mark your calendar for the Craft Fair & Bake Sale ( supporting MOPS), on Saturday, November 5, from 8 am—3 pm. With many vendors (from handmade items to direct sales) you’re sure to find many items on your Christmas shopping list. Don’t miss the bake sale where you can find treats galore to satisfy your sweet tooth and take a break at the MOPS Café to tend to that hunger craving.

 

VGBC 50th Anniversary

To prepare for our celebration, we need your help! We are collecting photos of events over the years such as VBS, youth trips, baptisms, weddings, mission trips, and more!  Photos will be scanned & returned immediately on Sunday mornings. For more info, contact the church office.

 

Valet Drivers Needed

The Valet Ministry is in need of drivers over the age of 21, who can help one Sunday a month before, between, and after the morning worship services. Contact Paul Brandenstein.

 

Missions Conference: How Should They Hear?

Come hear opportunities on how you can get involved spreading the “good news” – whether short-term or long-term. Attend a panel discussion:  October 8, 4:30-7:30 pm (dinner included + childcare), OR October 9, 5:30-7:30 pm. Events are free, but reservations are needed for Oct. 8. Click for more details.

We have online giving on our church app. Also, we have offering plates at the back of the Worship Center at the end of each service.  While you are welcome to give, all we ask of our guests is to visit us at the Welcome Desk near the entry! 
 
 
 

Scripture of the Week

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they were saying:
 
“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”
 
Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”
 
The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.
