Mission Statement

In this series, we introduce our church’s mission statement. Our mission is based on the great commission command to “make disciples.” One great aspect of our mission statement is its simplicity. Another great aspect is the way our mission statement also communicates our vision, strategy, and our expectations. We want to be faithful to the clear and simple mission Jesus has given the church. We hope you will take the next step in your discipleship and grow up in Christ with us.

While the gospel is about being right with God, the gospel is also about the peace Jesus has established among God’s people. We discover this incredible truth that God wants our worship. This is why He created us, and this is why we have this deep thirst. The problem is that we try to satisfy our thirst in ways that can never truly satisfy. The good news is that God has provided the way for us to be satisfied. At Vista Grande, we have a simple mission. We want to make disciples. We want to see people become disciples, and we want to see people grow up in Christ. One helpful part of our mission statement is four key words that describe what discipleship looks like so you can know what is expected of you. These four words reflect the values of the first church and every faithful church since Acts 2. We want to make disciples who worship, connect, serve & impact.
