In this sermon, we discover the two responses to God’s King. Saul represents those who reject God’s king, and we see several characteristics associated with this path: jealousy, anger, fear, and irrationality. Jonathan is an often overlooked Bible character who is a wonderful example of what it looks like to follow God’s king. The marks of a faithful follower are sacrifice, courage, allegiance, and a deep, lasting commitment. We see these same two responses to God’s King today.
