Welcome to our AWANA pages.  We are looking forward to a great year of missions, games, memorizing God's Word, and learning more about Him. 

We invite you to learn about our programs, which begin with Cubbies for 4 year olds, and continue through 6th grade. We meet on Wednesday nights from 6:15 – 8:00 pm during the school year. If you have additional questions, please contact me at vgbccommander@gmail.com.

Awana is an international, Bible-centered children's and youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs and programs for preschool through 6th grade. Our goal is to reach children and preteens, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.

Awana meets every Wednesday night during the school year from 6:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Awana balances games with scripture memory and scripture related activities to provide an entertaining, yet instructive 90 minutes for children and youth.  At VGBC we have incorporated a Missions Education emphasis through Awana by participating in various mission projects throughout the year.  These mission projects are optional for every clubber and they do not change the Awana curriculum in any way.
