Learn FIVE Key Gospel Points / Using the FIVE Fingers of Your Hand

Sharing your faith is like a fork in the road: it’s a point of decision. People who are effectively trained to share their faith will do so regularly, with great joy, and with wonderful results. How about you?

• How do you connect with others on a spiritual level? (Week #1)
• How would you respond if someone asked you what saving faith was? (Week #6)
• Do you know the ABCs of commitment? (Week #7) 

VGBC has two opportunities for you to learn how to share your faith with “frans” (friends, relatives, associates, and neighbors).

On Saturday, August 28, a Share Your Faith Workshop will be offered from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. This one day training will give you the basic tools you need to witness including Overcoming the Fear of Witnessing, Telling Your Story, Finding People Who Are Open as well as a tool to assist you in sharing the Gospel. The deadline to register (in order to have materials) is August 19^th. The cost of $15 includes materials and lunch.

From August 31—October 12, Everyday Evangelism (EV2) will be offered on Tuesday evenings from 6-8:30 p.m. This seven week training course will spend more time on each part of the Gospel presentation covered at the Share Your Faith Workshop and will include actual opportunities to witness with experienced trainers. The deadline to register (in order to have materials) is August 19^th and the cost is $15.00.

This is the only time this fall that these training opportunities will be offered. Child care is available with advance notice. Contact the church office to pre-register or Joel Swisher (Joel.Swisher@us.army.mil) for more information.

Do you believe that if a Christian asked God to lead them to one person in 2010 who was open to Him and to salvation, that God would answer that prayer? What if every believer in our church prayed that prayer with sincerity? What if you took 2010 to learn how to effectively share your faith and God did answer and give you one soul to lead to salvation? How many lives would be impacted for eternity? Some at Vista Grande will go far beyond one soul, for others; this would be a great start!

“Lord, I’ll take one year, 2010, to learn how to share my faith. I’ll read, I’ll study, I’ll practice, whatever it takes. Please lead me to one person who is open—someone You have been drawing to Yourself. Not someone I have to talk into anything, but a person who is ready to respond to you. Then, let me lead that one soul to faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. One year, one person, one soul is what I ask Lord, AMEN.”

One of the reasons believers are reluctant to share their faith is that they do not have a usable and effective tool available. In 2010, Vista Grande Baptist Church will be offering one day Saturday Share Your Faith Workshops. There will also be additional seven week evangelism training opportunities. Will you accept the challenge to lead at least one person in 2010 to salvation?
