Annual Mexico Mission Rummage Sale

Saturday, February 25, 8am—2pm

Help support the Mexico Mission Team by donating items to the sale. All proceeds go directly to material costs for building houses for those in need in Mexico. We partner with Casas por Cristo to build these tangible expressions of God’s love and open doors, allowing the Gospel to be presented. Donations can be dropped off beginning Thursday evening, February 23, and all day Friday, February 24. For those who are moving and cleaning out before that date, contact Jan Halstead, who will accept early donations. Be sure to stop by on Saturday to shop!

2011 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

The 2011 theme for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is “His heart, His hands, His voice – I am Southern Baptist missions.” As followers of Jesus, we, the Church, are to fulfill the Great Commission and be:   His heart, His hands, His voice

heart_hands_voice

. . . through praying
One of the ways we can fulfill the Great Commission is through prayer. In fact, prayer is first and foremost! Pray with God’s heart for people groups who have never heard the Good News, and for our missionaries who are our voice in the darkness. Pray about giving generously to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® to sustain those we’ve sent to be our hands touching a lost world.

. . . through giving

Paul said, “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it” (1 Corinthians 12:27). Southern Baptist missionaries cannot carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth without our support: the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® allows us to do just that. The 2011 goal is $175 million. Our church’s goal is $65,000.

. . . through going

Billions of people remain lost and time may be running out for them. The Church is given the privilege and responsibility for helping reach the people groups of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray about your involvement in partnering with missionaries in fulfilling this Great Commission.
