    A Prayer for Walking Worthy
In this passage, we see Paul’s second prayer he prays for the Ephesian church.  We know prayer is important and we know we should pray.  However, we often don’t quite know how or what to pray.  In this sermon we ask the basic
questions about prayer, and we discover what biblical prayer looks like.

    An Example of Walking Worthy
    Ephesians 3:1-13
We are often guilty of “do as I say, but not as I do.”  In this passage we learn from the example of Paul who calls the church to walk worthy and provides us with a real life example what this looks like.  We see three important characteristics: sacrifice for God’s people, faithful to God’s message, and motivated by God’s glory.

The Big Story Behind Walking Worthy
    Ephesians 2:1-10

What we Need for Walking Worthy
    Ephesians 1:15-23

In this passage, we discover what we need for walking worthy.  We often think that what we need is something new in addition to what we have, and this is usually how we pray.  But what we really need is simply to know the blessings that already belong to us in Christ.  We need to know what God will do for us, what God has done for us, and what God is doing for us so that we walk worthy.

    Motivation for Walking Worthy
The main theme of this passage is blessing.  We learn God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing.  We are motivated to walk worthy as we discover the Father has planned our blessings, the Son has accomplished our blessings, and the Holy Spirit has applied our blessings.

    Walking Worthy
    Ephesians 1:1-2
In this introductory sermon to the series, we learn about the author, the audience, and the message of Ephesians.  We look at two key words we see in the introduction: grace and peace.  We discover these are important themes that run throughout the letter.  Since God has established peace between us and Himself and has shown grace to us in Christ, we should be quick to work for peace with others and extend grace to others who don’t deserve it.  We learn how these key concepts fit within the overall context of the letter to the Ephesians, and we learn what difference this makes for us today.

    Our Structure
In this final sermon of the series, we talk about our church’s structure or polity.  We talk about how the nature of the church should determine the structure, since we are a family and not merely another organization.  We talk about the two biblical offices of pastor and deacon.  And we talk about the role of the congregation.
